hi, i’m Riannah
writer, speaker and
practitioner.
Midlife is just the beginning
As a woman, we are often told that our worth is purely tied up in our youthful looks and that as soon as we start to show signs of ageing, we are suddenly worthless, invisible, or no longer required.
I call bullshit.
It is during midlife, that most women finally learn how to step into their power. We learn who we are underneath all of the roles we have played and start living a life that feels good for us. We learn how to speak up, how to have boundaries and actually enforce them, and we learn to no longer accept poor behavior or breadcrumbs of love.
It is during this time that many women are experiencing a midlife awakening (not crisis).
During the awakening, women will go through a journey gaining wisdom, emotional maturity, nervous system capacity and heart opening (softening). We learn how to love ourselves. And it is only then that we can receive soul deep love from another. Awakened love.
how it all started
I came to this work through my own experience of walking away from a life that looked “perfect” on paper and having to rediscover who I was, what I wanted and what I was no longer prepared to compromise on.
That journey led me to train in hypnotherapy, NLP, Reiki and other personal-development modalities, but it also taught me that preparing for love isn’t simply about finding the right person.
It’s about knowing yourself.
Today, I share what I’ve learnt with other women navigating change and growth in midlife – exploring how we can recognise old patterns, strengthen our sense of self and approach whatever comes next with greater awareness, wisdom and clarity.
For me, that’s awakened love.
