For too long I walked on this Earth as if she didn

For too long I walked on this Earth as if she didn’t matter. As if I were separate. As if my existence was somehow worth more.

It’s easy to do so when we are so disconnected - from her and from our wild selves. When we live under fluorescent lights, consult screens all day long, and click a button to order anything we want. Life has somehow stampeded us so far away from what really matters.

But over the last few years I have been in a process of remembering and reconnecting. And last week I spent my time out on the land deeply listening. Feeling her grief. Her pain. Her love. Her abundance.

As a group we danced, sung, laughed, and cried into the dirt beneath our feet. We were held, seen, and heard by the Great Mother.

Now is the time for change. Now is the time to start doing things differently. To remember that every action we do now is helping to heal the Earth not just for now but for our children and children’s children.

Let’s stop thinking it’s someone else’s problem. Small changes make all the difference ❤️

The magnificent grandmother tree standing alongside her - guiding her home.
Birds sing her name.
Insects busy themselves with their work for the day.
The leaves rustle all around her.
She feels whole for the first time.
The land is healing with the sound of her voice.
She is healing with the land.
Connected as one.
Never separate.
She remembers the wild woman within.
She can feel it in her bones.
This is the missing piece.
This is the way home.
Wild woman who is in her nature.
Wild woman who is her.
Wild woman who is in us all.

Where do I even start? I’ve learnt so much abo

Where do I even start?

I’ve learnt so much about love over the last 4 years - while being single. Who would’ve thought?!

None more so than you can only receive the level of love, tenderness and devotion from another that you give yourself first.

The depleted woman that gives everything to everyone else - and never herself. That was my fallback place for so long. I had never seen a nourished woman. A woman who put herself first. A rested woman. A woman with self worth. A woman who listens to her body. Who knows pleasure. Who knows love.

The woman I had known, and become, in relationships was always trying to prove herself. She was seeking to fill a void in herself by doing for others. She became the martyr.

She hadn’t known presence. Calm. Peace. Especially from a man. Only chaos. Fear. Independence. Servitude.

And so my lessons (to date) have come while single. And the level of love, devotion and tenderness I have found within myself, is so much more than I could’ve ever thought possible ❤️

Love is never about seeking. It’s about remembering that you are love.
